Encouraging the next generation of portfolio professionals to think beyond spreadsheets and simplified investing tools.

The PoMaTo Portfolio Challenge is an educational initiative exploring how students and finance professionals approach portfolio construction under different objectives, assumptions and risk constraints.

Participants use analytical workflows to build simulated portfolios, evaluate diversification, analyse risk exposure, test allocation decisions and compare portfolio-construction approaches.

The focus is education, analytical reasoning and portfolio process—not personalised investment recommendations or live discretionary trading.

PoMaTo is currently exploring academic engagement opportunities with universities and finance programs interested in portfolio analytics, quantitative investing education and structured investment simulation initiatives.

The initial concept discussions emerged through academic engagement with the University of Greenwich.
